Terms of service
Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 July 2026
These terms set out the agreement between you and Shuvien when you use our website or buy from us. Please read them before you order — by placing an order you accept them.
We have written them in plain English. If anything is unclear, email help@shuvienstore.com and we will explain it.
Two other documents form part of this agreement, so please read them too:
- Our Refund and Returns Policy
- Our Shipping Policy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Who we are
Shuvien is an online retailer.
Trading name: Shuvien Address: 36 Balsham Road, Harwell, DN10 1FP, United Kingdom Email: help@shuvienstore.com Phone: 07753 794421
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Shuvien. "You" and "your" mean the person using our site or placing an order.
2. Who can buy from us
To place an order you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. By ordering, you confirm both.
We sell to consumers for personal use. We do not accept orders for resale, and we may cancel any order that appears to be commercial or fraudulent.
3. Your account
If you create an account, keep your password confidential and do not share it. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
Tell us immediately at help@shuvienstore.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
The details you give us must be accurate and up to date. Incorrect delivery details are the most common cause of failed deliveries — see our Shipping Policy for what happens then.
4. How a contract is formed
This matters, so we have set it out step by step:
- You place an order. This is an offer to buy — it does not create a contract yet.
- We send you an order confirmation email. This only confirms we have received your order. It is not acceptance.
- The contract is formed when we email you to confirm your order has been dispatched, and covers only the items in that dispatch email.
We may decline an order at any point before dispatch. Reasons include the item being unavailable, an error in the price or description, a failed payment or fraud check, an address we cannot deliver to, or a suspected breach of these terms. If we decline your order we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
5. Our products
How we fulfil orders. Shuvien operates a dropshipping model. We do not hold stock ourselves. When you order, our fulfilment partners pack and dispatch the item directly to you. Most of our products are dispatched from suppliers outside the United Kingdom, which is why delivery takes longer than a UK-warehoused retailer. Full timings are in our Shipping Policy — please read them before you order.
Images and descriptions. We work to describe our products accurately, but photographs are illustrative. Colours vary between screens, and minor variations in finish, packaging or included accessories can occur between production batches. These variations are not defects.
Sizes and measurements. Where sizing is given, follow the measurements in the product description rather than a general size label. Sizing on internationally sourced items often differs from standard UK sizing.
Availability. Listing a product is not a guarantee it is available. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will tell you and refund you in full.
None of this affects your legal right to receive goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
6. Prices and pricing errors
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable UK taxes. Delivery charges, if any, are shown separately at checkout before you pay. The total shown at checkout is the total you pay.
We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already placed.
Pricing errors. Very occasionally a product may be listed at the wrong price despite our efforts. Because the contract is not formed until dispatch (Section 4):
- If the correct price is lower than the listed price, we charge you the lower amount.
- If the correct price is higher, we will contact you before dispatch. You can confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund. We will never charge you more than the price you agreed without asking you first.
- If the pricing error is obvious and you could reasonably have recognised it as a mistake, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
7. Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through our payment providers. We accept the methods shown at checkout.
Your card details go directly to our payment provider's secure systems. Shuvien never sees or stores your full card details.
Your order will not be dispatched until payment clears. If a payment is declined or reversed after dispatch, we may suspend your account and recover the goods or the amount owed.
Any bank charges, foreign transaction fees or currency conversion costs applied by your own bank are yours to pay. We have no control over them and cannot refund them.
8. Delivery
Delivery is covered in full in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary:
- We ship to addresses in the United Kingdom only.
- Processing takes up to 72 hours.
- Transit takes up to 45 calendar days.
- Total estimated delivery: up to approximately 50 calendar days (around 7 weeks) from the date you order.
By placing an order you agree to this delivery period. It is longer than the 30-day default that applies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 when no period has been agreed, and we are telling you clearly before you buy so that you can decide with the facts in front of you.
Goods remain our responsibility until they are physically delivered to you.
9. Cancellation, returns and refunds
Your rights are set out in full in our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary, you have 14 days to cancel because you changed your mind, and separate, stronger rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.
10. Intellectual property
The Shuvien name, logo, site design, text, graphics, product photography and layout are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual property law.
You may view, download and print pages from our site for your own personal use in connection with shopping with us. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute our content commercially
- Use our name, logo or branding without our written permission
- Scrape, mine, or systematically extract data from our site
- Use our content to train machine learning or AI models without our written permission
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notice
Third-party trade marks appearing on our site belong to their respective owners.
11. Content you submit
If you submit a review, comment, photo or other content, you keep ownership of it. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, display and adapt it for the purpose of operating and promoting our shop.
You confirm that your content is yours to submit and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Do not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, misleading, infringing, or that contains other people's personal information.
We may remove any content, at our discretion, without notice. We do not routinely review content before publication and are not responsible for opinions expressed by customers.
12. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Use our site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
- Place orders using someone else's payment details or identity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, servers or any connected system
- Introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code
- Interfere with the site's operation, including through denial-of-service attacks or automated request flooding
- Use bots, scrapers or automated tools to access, monitor or copy the site
- Circumvent any security or access control
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Abuse, threaten or harass our staff
Our staff are entitled to be treated with respect. We will end any contact that becomes abusive.
Suspension
If we reasonably believe you have breached this section, we may suspend or close your account, cancel your orders and refund them, restrict your access to the site, and where appropriate report the matter to the authorities. Where it is proportionate to do so, we will warn you first.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987
- Breach of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the rights that goods be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described
- Anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded
Subject to that:
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if both parties knew it might happen when the contract was made.
We are not liable for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or that arises from your own breach of these terms or your misuse of a product.
We supply our products for domestic and private use. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
Where we are liable and no mandatory exclusion applies, our total liability in relation to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
We do not guarantee that our site will be available uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will be free from viruses. You are responsible for your own device security.
14. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, epidemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, carrier or supplier failure, customs delays, government action, and failure of public networks or utilities.
If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the delay. If the delay becomes substantial, you may cancel your order and receive a full refund. This does not affect your other legal rights.
15. Links to other sites
Our site may link to third-party sites. We provide these for convenience only. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, products or practices. Visiting them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it — we will never apply new terms retroactively to an order you have already made.
The date at the top shows when these terms last changed. Please check them each time you order.
17. Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Email help@shuvienstore.com with "COMPLAINT" in the subject line. We acknowledge within one business day and aim to respond fully within 5 business days.
If we cannot resolve it, you can get free, independent advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service on 0808 223 1133 or at citizensadvice.org.uk.
We are not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme, so we are not able to refer your complaint to a certified ADR body. Your right to take the matter to court is unaffected.
18. General
Severability. If any provision of these terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, it is removed and the rest remain in force.
Waiver. If we do not insist on you doing something you are required to do, or delay in enforcing a right, that does not mean we have given up that right.
Assignment. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, and will tell you if we do. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
Third parties. This contract is between you and us. No one else has any right to enforce it under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Refund and Returns Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us regarding your order. Nothing here excludes liability for fraudulent misrepresentation.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, this does not take away your legal protection. You keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rules of the part of the UK where you live. If you live in Scotland you may bring proceedings in the Scottish courts, and if you live in Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in the Northern Irish courts. In either case you may also sue in England and Wales.
